Great Waffles Golf Is Opening Soon in Harrisburg!
The wait is almost over! Great Waffles Golf is preparing to open Harrisburg’s premier boutique golf shop, private fitting studio, and custom club-building destination.
As of right now, we are aiming to hold our Grand Opening during the third week of July. Because we are still coordinating schedules, completing construction, installing equipment, and preparing the shop, the opening timeframe and participating representatives may be subject to change. We will share the official date and event schedule as soon as everything is finalized.
A Grand Opening Worth Celebrating
We are planning a full grand-opening celebration with food, drinks, product demonstrations, special offers, and plenty of giveaways. It will be an opportunity to tour the new shop, explore our growing selection of equipment and apparel, meet the Great Waffles Golf team, and learn more about our fitting and custom club-building services.
We are also working to have representatives from TaylorMade, Mizuno, and Bettinardi available to answer questions, showcase products, and help us celebrate the opening of our new Harrisburg location.

Private Shopping and Fitting by Appointment
Outside of our grand-opening celebration, Great Waffles Golf will primarily operate by appointment only.
We believe every golfer who visits us should receive more than a traditional retail experience. Whether you are shopping for a new outfit, exploring equipment, ordering a custom set, or completing a full club fitting, your visit should feel personal—not rushed, crowded, or pressured.
Our appointment model allows us to provide every guest with a tailored, private shopping or fitting experience built around their game, preferences, goals, and budget.
You do not have to wait until the grand opening to visit. Appointments are available now, although you may have to dodge a little construction dust while we prepare for opening day!

Our Fitting Studio Is Taking Shape
Our new fitting studio is being built to provide golfers with access to outstanding equipment from both major manufacturers and premium Japanese brands.
Our new TaylorMade iron heads and fitting components have arrived, joining fitting options from:
- Mizuno
- Honma
- Wilson Staff
- Epon
This selection will allow us to test different head designs, lofts, shafts, weights, lengths, lie angles, and configurations to identify combinations that complement each golfer’s swing. We are continuing to expand our fitting matrix as additional equipment arrives.
Introducing the Square Golf Omni
Great Waffles Golf will also be utilizing the latest launch-monitor technology from Square Golf, including its new Omni unit.
The Square Golf Omni uses four high-speed infrared cameras to capture detailed ball and club information for indoor and outdoor fitting sessions. It provides valuable fitting data such as ball speed, launch angle, launch direction, spin, carry distance, club speed, club path, angle of attack, face angle, dynamic loft, and impact location.
The Omni also features a generous hitting area and an integrated display, allowing fitters to review important information quickly throughout the fitting process.
This technology will help us compare equipment using objective data while still considering the golfer’s feel, confidence, consistency, and preferred ball flight.
A great fitting is not simply about producing the longest single shot. It is about identifying equipment that delivers repeatable performance throughout an entire round.
Premium Shaft Fitting Options
We are excited to announce that Great Waffles Golf has recently become an ACCRA and KBS Performance Fitter, giving our customers access to ACCRA and KBS's entire lineup of premium driver, fairway wood, hybrid, iron, and putter shafts.
ACCRA and KBS's broad selection of weights, profiles, launch characteristics, and flex options will allow us to fit the shaft to the individual golfer instead of forcing the golfer into a limited stock offering.
We have also partnered with Matrix Ozik Shafts.
Matrix Ozik offers shaft profiles designed to deliver different combinations of launch, spin, feel, stability, and energy transfer. Depending on the model and player, these designs may provide increased tip stability, tighter dispersion, improved consistency, or a smoother feel throughout the swing.
Having access to multiple Matrix Ozik profiles will allow us to evaluate how different bend characteristics influence club delivery, impact, launch, spin, and shot pattern.
The correct shaft is not determined by swing speed alone. Tempo, transition, release, angle of attack, impact location, and preferred feel all play an important role, which is why every recommendation will be based on testing and fitting data.
Newton Golf has also come on board as a shaft partner with Great Waffles Golf.
Newton Golf’s shaft designs use elongated bend profiles intended to help golfers load the shaft naturally and transfer energy efficiently through impact. Its fitting system offers progressively different profiles designed to accommodate a wide range of swing speeds, tempos, and delivery patterns.
With ACCRA, KBS, Matrix Ozik, Newton Golf, and additional premium shaft partners available, our goal is to offer Harrisburg golfers combinations they may not find in a traditional retail golf store.
