Kamui KP-Milled Irons

The KP-Milled is Kamui’s newest iron platform and the evolution of the CC-Milled concept. Each S20C head is produced through full 5-axis CNC milling and receives a special heat treatment intended to preserve a soft, solid feel. Kamui then adds a wider sole, relieved leading and trailing edges, a lower center of gravity and more toe-side mass to make the compact head more stable and easier to launch.

The loft structure is modern and distance oriented: the 7-iron is 29°, the pitching wedge is 41° and the matching gap wedge is 45°. That does not automatically make it low launching; the lower-CG design is intended to help the stronger lofts produce playable height.

Start with the KP-Milled if: you want premium milled construction and a sharp address profile, but you also want more ball speed, launch help and protection when impact drifts away from center.

Kamui CC-Milled Irons

The CC-Milled is the precision-first member of the lineup. It is important to describe its construction correctly: the head is not conventionally forged or cast. Kamui machines it from S20C material using a full 5-axis CNC process, then applies a special heat treatment. The objective is exceptionally consistent geometry, a solid-yet-soft impact sensation and a compact head that can produce the golfer’s intended line and trajectory.

Its lofts are also strong, with a 29° 7-iron and 41° pitching wedge, while the matching gap wedge is 46°. Compared with the newer KP-Milled, the CC-Milled is the more precision- and control-centered starting point; the KP-Milled adds a stronger emphasis on forgiveness, distance and sole playability.

Start with the CC-Milled if: centered contact is already a strength and you value compact shaping, feedback, repeatable distance and the ability to control trajectory more than maximum help.

Kamui KP-109 Irons

The KP-109 takes a different manufacturing path. Kamui forms the S20C head through three 1000-ton forging cycles, CNC machines the back geometry and applies special heat treatment. Its four-way beveled sole relieves the leading edge, trailing edge, toe and heel to help the head move through the turf on full and controlled swings.

The KP-109 also uses the most traditional loft structure of these three irons: 31° in the 7-iron and 45° in the pitching wedge. That can be attractive to a golfer who wants familiar set gapping, forged feedback and a head that rewards a descending strike without moving to the stronger-lofted KP-Milled or CC-Milled platforms.

Start with the KP-109 if: you want a forged players-cavity style iron, traditional lofts and a versatile sole while still keeping meaningful stability on imperfect contact.

Which Kamui Iron Should You Buy?

• Choose KP-Milled as the first test when you want the most complete blend of modern distance, launch, stability, turf relief and premium milled feel.
• Choose CC-Milled as the first test when precision, compact shaping, feedback and shot control sit above maximum forgiveness on your priority list.
• Choose KP-109 as the first test when you prefer forged construction, more traditional lofts and a beveled sole designed for clean turf interaction.

The final choice should be made by comparing carry distance, launch, spin, peak height, descent angle, front-to-back dispersion, strike location and how the sole behaves through the turf. A premium head is only premium for your game when the numbers and the strike pattern agree.

Kamui Wedge Buyer’s Guide: KP-W09 vs KP-W07

Kamui KP-W09 Wedge

The KP-W09 is Kamui’s more aggressive current wedge design. Its S20C head is forged three times under a 1000-ton press, CNC machined and specially heat treated. Kamui increased the groove count to 17 and tightened groove spacing compared with the prior KP-W07, pairing those grooves with post-plating face blasting to support more stable spin from rough and wet conditions.

The sole changes by loft. The 48°, 50° and 52° heads use trailing-edge and heel relief for square-faced full shots and controlled approaches. The 54°, 56° and 58° heads add toe, trailing-edge and heel relief around a central bounce area, giving the player options both square and open. The 60° uses a somewhat wider sole with 8° of measured bounce and rear relief to keep the leading edge manageable on touch shots.

Kamui KP-W07 Wedge

The KP-W07 is Kamui’s more traditional wedge. Its S20C head goes through five forging stages—three rough forgings and two finishing forgings—then receives CNC face milling. The design emphasizes soft forged feedback, distance control and a sole that behaves predictably on straightforward shots while retaining enough relief for opened-face approaches.

It is offered from 48° through 60° in two-degree increments. Published bounce progresses from 9° in the 48° and 50°, to 10° in the 52° and 54°, 12° in the 56° and 58°, and 8° in the 60°. The 54° and 60° are special-order heads in Kamui’s published lineup.
